The National hasn’t released a full-length studio album since 2010’s High Violet, but the band is making sure we don’t forget about them. In November they covered Bob’s Burgers’ Thanksgiving song and “I’ll See You in My Dreams” for Boardwalk Empire, but now we finally get to hear some new original music. The National’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry Festival to Return in 2013

Brooklyn Academy of Music has set their lineup for the 2013 winter/spring season and returning to the bill is the Crossing Brooklyn Ferry Festival, organized by the National’s Bryce and Aaron Dessner. This marks the second time that the band has opened for Obama, the first being at a rally in 2008.
