Chance the Rapper Announces “Magnificent Coloring Day” Music Festival in Chicago

Music News Chance the Rapper

Chance the Rapper’s announcement of the Magnificent Coloring Tour in June was lacking an important stop in Chicago, but it turns out he had much something much bigger in store. In fact, Chance’s stay at his hometown won’t be just any performance, but rather a full-out miniature music festival.

The fest will take place on Sept. 24 at U.S. Cellular Field, home of the White Sox, on the city’s south side. This isn’t the first time that Chance has collaborated with the baseball team, recalling the artist’s redesign of the White Sox cap earlier this year, but it is the first time a music festival will take place at the team’s home stadium.

Chano has curated a formidable lineup for the event, including Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Tyler the Creator, 2 Chainz and a “very special guest” who will host the festivities. Pre-sale will start today for customers who have a Citi card and general sale will be available this Friday.
