Colorado Just Elected America’s First Openly Gay Governor, Jared Polis
Photo by Chip Somodevilla/GettyI’m going to puff out my chest a bit while I stump for my home state. Jared Polis—openly gay man and wildly successful businessman—just steamrolled his GOP opponent Walker Stapleton (who looks and sounds like Ted Cruz if Ted Cruz was 80% less charismatic) in the Colorado gubernatorial race. The polls closed 365 minutes ago, and kapow! Would you look at that!

Colorado also flipped a seat in the House, as former Army Ranger Jason Crow took out GOP incumbent Mike Coffman. Colorado is the future that liberals want (sans the whole state government being wholly owned by oil and gas interests).
