Los Angeles pop/rock outfit Lo Moon have shared their first new music since their self-titled debut album, released earlier this year. They unveiled a new single Friday, “For Me, It’s You,” via Columbia Records.

“For Me, It’s You” unfolds like a slick, dreamy pop track with moody keyboards and frontman Matt Lowell’s slick and confident, yet understated vocal performance, but it later blooms into something much bigger and bolder. Midway through, the track evolves with a ripping fit of washed-out guitars until Lowell’s reassuring vocals run straight into the fire and scoop you up before the disorienting noise reaches a fever pitch.

Speaking of the band’s trajectory and their new track, Lowell says:

It’s been an amazing and rewarding two years for us. At the beginning of the summer, we got back from tour feeling inspired and excited about the next phase of the band. We moved studios and went straight into experimenting, thinking, writing, and working on new material. We wanted to explore and continue to push our individual voices within the band. “For Me, It’s You” was one of the initial ideas from that time.

Lo Moon have spent much of 2018 on tour, recently supporting CHVRCHES in North America, and supporting bands like Phoenix, The War on Drugs, Ride, Glass Animals, The Lemon Twigs and more over the past few years.
