Foals’ Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 Arrives in October

Foals have revealed a release date for the follow-up to the rather-quite-good Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1. It looks like Part 2 comes to your favorite streaming services and record shops on Oct. 18, a mere seven months after its older brother.

Accompanying the news is a brief (mostly static) clip featuring the world’s most vibrant graveyard. Strings and keys drone underneath before exploding into what sounds like a raucous time.

Preorders come Thursday along with the first track. Foals’ lead singer Yannis Philippakis described the forthcoming sequel for Paste earlier this year:

It’s got an implicit “dot dot dot” there. Album two starts with a bang. There’s a sense of urgency and perseverance in album two and there’s a lot of energy in the beginning of album two. It’s meant to contrast the ending of album one.

We’re definitely getting more The Empire Strikes Back and less Jaws 2.
