Foals Release New Song “On The Luna,” Confirm Headlining Tour Dates

Thursday, indie-rock favorite Foals unveiled “On The Luna,” the second track from their highly anticipated forthcoming album, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1. The band also released an observational, documentary-style music video to accompany the release, and it’s precisely the kind of nostalgic, atmospheric stuff you’d expect.

“On The Luna” sounds like a refreshing update of the band’s smash 2013 track “My Number”—think along the lines of ear-catching percussion work and shimmery post-rock goodness that’s become characteristic of Foals, but dance-ier, airier.

The track is the second to be released from their forthcoming two-part album concept, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost — Part 1 and 2, set to release on March 8 and in the fall, respectively. You can preorder Part 1 here and revisit previous single “Exits” here.

Foals also announced their headlining U.S. tour dates and recently confirmed support from Bear Hands, Preoccupations, Omni, and Kiev.
