Gorillaz’ Demon Days Receiving Its First-Ever Vinyl Reissue

Music News Gorillaz

The recent announcement of Gorillaz’s own Demon Dayz festival this summer, which will feature the band’s first live performance in seven years, felt like a glimpse of light at the end of the long tunnel that has been their return. But while we still wait for some official details on when a new album might see the light of day (it might not be too far off) it feels like a good time to go back and revisit the record that cemented them as worth the hype, not to mention serving as the namesake to their festival, 2005’s Demon Days.

This April, record subscription service Vinyl Me, Please is offering up a special edition first-ever reissue of the album as their featured “record of the month.” The album is pressed on translucent red vinyl, which you can see in the pictures above and below, and will include an “exclusive Gorillaz character sticker pack” and a 12×12 print by artist Ariel Roman. If you’re not already subscribed to Vinyl Me, Please, you’ll have to sign up by April 15 to be eligible for this one, so if this piques your interest, make sure you don’t forget. Cameron Schaefer, Head of Music at Vinyl Me, Please, said in a statement:

As vinyl enthusiasts & music fans ourselves, we understand the importance of this album to fans and collectors around the world. It’s a huge honor to take part in the first official reissue of such a massive album and to have had the privilege to work with the label and band on ensuring this pressing was given the attention & care it deserves. We believe it’s the best the album has ever sounded and can’t wait for our members to reconnect with it just in time for the new album.
