This will likely get lost in the new indictment just handed down by Robert Mueller—the first time he has directly alleged that the Russian government meddled in the 2016 election—but it’s still a big deal because of the implication behind this story on Jared Kushner. High-level administration officials with serious foreign responsibilities always have access to the kind of information that Kushner presently does not. Per The Washington Post:
Jared Kushner, a senior White House adviser and President Trump’s son-in-law, lacks the security clearance level required to review some of the government’s most sensitive secrets, according to two people familiar with his access.
