Jonah Hill Apologizes for Homophobic Slur

This week, Jonah Hill drew criticism for his use of an anti-gay slur against a member of the paparazzi, and last night the 22 Jump Street star gave an emotional apology on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Responding to the confrontation captured in a TMZ video, Hill said “I completely let members of [the LGBTQ] community and everybody else down this weekend when I used that word.” The comedian added that he was “heartbroken,” “genuinely sorry” and doesn’t “deserve or expect your forgiveness.”

Hill also asked viewers to use him as an example of “what not to do,” urging them not to “respond with hatred or anger” if “someone says something that hurts you.” The comedian had earlier apologized for the incident on The Howard Stern Show, where he called his own words “disgusting.” Watch the video above.
