Mac DeMarco is coming to select cities across the U.S. this fall. The Canadian musician known for his “slacker rock” sound has announced the North American leg of his ongoing world tour. DeMarco will kick off his run in the states in Honolulu, Hawaii, accompanied by his band Jon Lent (bass, percussion), Joe McMurray (drums), Alec Meen (keys) and Andy White (guitar), in support of his third full-length album This Old Dog, released last May on Captured Tracks.
DeMarco will also take his cleverly romantic lyrics into a taping of Austin City Limits, airing later this month. The artist had an incredibly successful run last year after his most recent album’s unexpected early release, selling out massive shows at Radio City Music Hall, the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif. and Portland, Ore.,’s Oregon Zoo. This year, DeMarco seems to be starting off on the right foot, as he continues to put in the hard work that’s made him an indie-rock staple.
