Netflix Acquires Streaming Rights to FX’s American Crime Story

Netflix subscribers will be able to stream FX’s American Crime Story starting in 2017, per Deadline. This is the first global licensing deal between the two companies.

The first season of Ryan Murphy’s series, The People v. O.J. Simpson, garnered an astounding 22 Emmy nominations and became the most-watched new series on cable in 2016. This season’s cast featured the likes of John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., David Schwimmer and Sarah Paulson.

The following seasons of the anthology series will also be available to stream after their broadcast windows have closed.

The second season of American Crime Story will center on Hurricane Katrina and will air on FX sometime next year.
