Netflix Prepares Us for The End of the F***ing World With New Trailer

With the new year comes the latest in Netflix’s long line of offerings. The streaming juggernaut released the trailer for their new dramedy, The End of the F*cking World, on New Year’s Day.

Adapted from Charles Forman’s award-winning graphic novel series, The End of the F*cking World follows self-proclaimed psychopath James (Alex Lawther) and rebellious smartmouth Alyssa (Jessica Barden) as they embark on a darkly comedic voyage in an attempt to find where they belong and escape the inevitable dread of adulthood. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

The show’s creator, Jonathan Entwistle, co-directs alongside Lucy Tcherniak while Charlie Covell of Burn, Burn, Burn fame provides the adapted script. The Netflix and E4 collaboration debuted last October on Channel 4 in the U.K. and will bring the chaos, destruction and self-discovery (but not the uncensored title) to a worldwide audience.

We’ll all be able to follow the misanthropic misadventures of James and Alyssa when the series releases on Friday, Jan. 5.
