Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs Has a Must-See New Poster

Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs is easily one of 2018’s most-anticipated movies, and our latest tasty morsel from the forthcoming film is a visually striking new poster, included below.

Anderson’s first film since 2014’s wonderful The Grand Budapest Hotel is stop-motion animated and set in Japan. Here’s the film’s official synopsis, courtesy of Fox Searchlight:

ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

As is Anderson’s wont, Isle of Dogs has a staggering cast. Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Liev Schreiber, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Greta Gerwig, Harvey Keitel, Bob Balaban, F. Murray Abraham, Frank Wood, Yoko Ono, Fisher Stevens, Courtney B. Vance, Mari Natsuki, Akira Ito, Yojiro Noda, Akira Takayama and Kunichi Nomura all lend their voices to the film, with newcomer Koyu Rankin as Atari.

Isle of Dogs opens on March 23, 2018. See the film’s richly detailed new poster below (click to enlarge), plus its previous poster here, and revisit the first trailer right here.
