Chicago hip-hop phenom Noname has shared the release date and cover art for her forthcoming sophomore album Room 25, after promising its impending release in a tweet two weeks ago. The album comes out this Friday, Sept. 14.
At 11 tracks, Room 25 is an expansion upon Noname’s debut, 2016’s Telefone, which sat at a relatively light eight tracks. Room 25 will have as-of-yet unannounced features from “the homies,” according to the rapper. The cover art is by Chicago-based artist Bryant Giles.
Since Telefone dropped, Noname has kept busy by appearing on tracks by some of those homies, including spots on releases by Chance the Rapper, Saba, Smino and Mick Jenkins.
