Ahead of the album, they’ve shared the latest taste with “Bemyself,” released Friday via Kitsuné/Because Music. They had previously released “Tieduprightnow” and an accompanying music video that featured the Australian band playing on top of a New York City rooftop.
“Bemyself” offers a sultry take on the modern disco five-piece’s signature sound. The song is something that you’d want to add to your “cool down” playlist for post-sunny day fun listening. It’s the last track on the album and it “was to be split down the middle, starting with the ‘old self,’ speaking of the past, with the sound of classic ‘60s pop,” the band explains in a statement. “Then, abruptly transforming into something new age to go with the tone of a new confident self,” they continued.
You can listen to a live version of the song, recorded on the same New York rooftop as “Tieduprightnow,” below. Stream the studio version via your service of choice here.
