Rolling Blackouts C.F. Share Idyllic “French Press” Video

Rolling Blackouts C.F. make shimmering, occasionally nonplussed rock, and that bright but mildly bewildered style makes it into the band’s new video for “French Press.”

In the Jamieson Moore-directed clip, the Melbourne-based band is hanging poolside in the sun and playing for a crowd largely dressed in white. It’s the idyllic sort of thing you’d see in some tropical vacation flick, though the rah-rah enthusiasm here seems to have melted in the sun. There’s a lot of staring dead-eyed off into space, deep sighing and tepid slow-dancing with almost no passion to it. The exterior is inviting—the center is anything but.
