The Maccabees Announce Their Break-Up

Rest in peace, Maccabees. It was good while it lasted. And it lasted a long time—14 years and four albums, to be exact.
The London indie-rock quintet announced today on social media that this is it. The band is no more. The members will continue to make music in some capacity, but that’s not set in stone just yet, their official statement explained. Farewell shows will be announced in the near future.
