The great thing about Donald Trump is that you don’t have to rely on his supporters for mean-spirited, low-brow attacks—Trump will do it himself! So it should come as no surprise that after GOP luminary Mitt Romney gave a speech essentially begging his party’s voters to come to their collective senses and stop supporting a narcissistic reality TV star, Trump would fire back in a big way.
The tweets ran the gamut from petulant to vicious, but all of them provided great fodder for Romney, who appeared on Kimmel last night and read each one in a terrific “Mean Tweets” segment.
