Watch the Music Video for ZHU/Tame Impala Collaboration “My Life”

Way back in March, the Paste Music team picked Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and ZHU’s collaborative “My Life” as one of our Daily Dose selections. Now it’s July, and we’re older, we’re wiser, and the sleek electronic track’s got a brand new music video starring Willow Smith. Time flies, man.

In our initial write-up on the song, Loren DiBlasi described “My Life” as “the sort of track that would be perfect for a long and introspective drive.” In the new music video, the song is set to anything but. Willow Smith plays the lone survivor of a brutal car crash and, bloody and shellshocked, she flashes back to happier moments with her friends throughout the video.

Tame Impala has been pretty quiet since the release of their 2015 album Currents, though Parker has recently teamed up with the likes of SZA, Mark Ronson and Lady Gaga on new music. The Perth-based band is headlining the Pitchfork Music Festival tonight.

Ben Tan and David Altobell (of American Millennial) and Elliot Sellers directed the video. Read our original write-up on “My Mind” here and check out the track’s music video below.
