Woodstock 50, the new “peace, love and music” festival from the co-founder and producer of Woodstock’s legendary original iteration, revealed its lineup on Tuesday night. The big, weird assortment of 80+ performers blends new artists and legacy acts, some of whom performed at the festival back in 1969.
Headliners include The Killers, Jay-Z, Dead & Company, Miley Cyrus, Santana, Chance the Rapper, The Black Keys, Imagine Dragons and Halsey. Santana and Dead & Company, of course, are veterans of Woodstock ‘69, while other legacy acts include Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters, David Crosby and Friends, John Fogerty, Canned Heat, Country Joe McDonald, John Sebastian and Melanie.
Other standout performers include The Raconteurs, who recently announced their first show in eight years; Run The Jewels, who are currently at work on their fourth album; Akon, who apparently still performs music; the newly resurgent Black Keys, who simply must have a new album on the way; Greta Van Fleet, who never for one moment were not going to play this festival, and are doing so alongside Led Zeppelin frontman Plant, no less; and Boygenius, who—fun fact—are just the absolute best.
Daily schedules break down like so:
Scheduled on Aug. 16, Friday: The Killers, Miley Cyrus, The Lumineers, The Raconteurs, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, Run The Jewels, The Head and The Heart, Maggie Rogers, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Bishop Briggs, Anderson East, Akon, Princess Nokia, Grandson, Fever 333, Larkin Poe, Dorothy, Flora Cash, Brian Cadd, Ninet Tayeb and more.
