Sarah Paulson Joins Cast of M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass

Ryan Murphy’s favorite leading lady and the actress who seems to be in every ensemble cast, Sarah Paulson, has joined M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass. The thriller follows his 2000 film Unbreakable and 2016’s Split. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson will be reprising their roles from the former, and James McAvoy and Anya Taylor Joy of Split will do the same.

After a few flops with films like The Last Airbender and After Earth, Shyamalan found his rhythm again in the horror genre when Split, a surprise sequel to Unbreakable, did considerably well on a $9 million budget. Shyamalan is finally done with the script for Glass, and the film is currently being produced by Blumhouse for a Jan. 18, 2019 release.

Shyamalan has said, “It was always my dream to have both films collide in this third film,” via Twitter, where he has been giving updates about the progress of Glass for some time. The director announced via Twitter this morning that Paulson will be in the film.

Paulson has won both a Golden Globe and Emmy for American Crime Story, and has been nominated many times for her roles in Murphy’s American Horror Story. The actress already has roles in the female-led Ocean’s Eight and Steven Spielberg’s The Papers, coming out in 2018 and 201,7 respectively, and she will of course be on Murphy’s forthcoming season of American Horror Story: Cult.
