Stone Temple Pilots have released a statement regarding Chester Bennington’s death by suicide. Los Angeles law enforcement found the former Linkin Park frontman’s body yesterday morning. Bennington, who was 41, sang with Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015.
Today, the band paid tribute to the late vocalist on their website, saying that Bennington showed them “time and time again what it is to be an incredible human being.” Sadly, this also marks the second time Stone Temple Pilots have lamented the death of one of their vocalists, the first being Scott Weiland in 2015.
“A beacon of light and hope is what you will always be to us,” the band said. “We love you Chester. We will miss you.”
