Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp Join Marvel’s New Falcon & Winter Soldier Series

Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp are the latest to join Marvel’s Disney+-bound Falcon & Winter Soldier six-part miniseries, according to THR.

Bruhl and VanCamp will be joining stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as they reprise their roles from previous Captain America chapters. Bruhl appeared as mastermind villain Zemo in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, while VanCamp made her debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as spy Sharon Carter.

Emmy-nominated and BAFTA award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale director Kari Skogland has also joined the project to direct.

The series, one of many focused on secondary characters in the exhaustive MCU for the Disney+ streaming platform, is set to debut in August 2020. Other Marvel series in development for the platform include projects focused on Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff.
