Pete Davidson Film Big Time Adolescence Picked up by Hulu

Hulu has acquired the Pete Davidson film Big Time Adolescence, as reported by Deadline Thursday. The deal is reportedly worth $4 million. Neon is in talks for theatrical distribution of the film.

The coming-of-age story made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January to rave reviews, with much praise centering on Davidson’s performance. The film is written and directed by Jason Orley, and follows a teenage boy (Griffin Gluck) under the guidance of Davidson’s character, Zeke, a charismatic college dropout.

The cast also includes Sydney Sweeney, Colson Baker (best known as rapper Machine Gun Kelly), Emily Arlook, Oona Laurence and Jon Cryer.

The film marks Orley’s directorial debut and also Davidson’s first leading role. Davidson is also starring in an untitled coming-of-age flick directed by Judd Apatow that’s set for release on June 19, 2020.
