Magnolia Pictures will be releasing a feature-length documentary on the iconic musicians of The Band, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band. Directed by Daniel Roher and produced by Martin Scorsese, the documentary will largely chronicle Robbie Robertson’s life, mostly focusing on his musical pursuits with The Band.
The film is largely based on Robertson’s memoir Testimony, published in 2016. It will feature onscreen interviews from long-time collaborators of Robertson, including Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and Scorsese, among others.
Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band hits theaters on Feb. 21. You can check out the new trailer below, plus a 1976 Band performance from the Paste archives further down.
