Pottermore to Publish Short eBook Series Pottermore Presents, Featuring New Writing from J.K. Rowling
Images via PottermoreHarry Potter fans have already been graced this year with the two-book release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’s stage play script in July, but muggles can rejoice yet again. Pottermore’s Susan L. Jurevics announced in a press release today that the first three eBook shorts of Pottermore Presents, a series featuring stories and J.K. Rowling’s first-person reflections about the wizarding world, will be published on Sept. 6.
“Pottermore Presents is intended to supplement the Harry Potter book series with short-form content that is entertaining and thematically curated by the Pottermore editorial team,” said Jurevics. “The eBooks will delight readers as they take them beyond the Harry Potter stories and deeper into the wizarding world. J.K. Rowling’s writing in these collections reveals intricate details of her characters’ lives, their histories, as well as her inspiration.”
The collection will be composed of pieces of Rowling’s writing that were originally published on Pottermore, in addition to new work. Averaging 10,000 words long, the eBooks are designed to be read in roughly an hour on e-readers, computers, tablets and phones, and cost just $2.99 a pop. The covers, pictured below, were designed by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima (a.k.a. MinaLima), the graphic design team behind the artwork of the Harry Potter films.
