Mindy Kaling to Release New Essay Collection in Summer 2020
Images via Business Wire, Lars Niki/GettySitcom and memoirist wunderkind Mindy Kaling will be releasing her latest collection of essays via Amazon Original Stories in summer 2020, the publisher announced Tuesday.
Kaling’s forthcoming essays will document the major life and career changes the actress has experienced since releasing 2015’s New York Times best-seller Why Not Me?, which include her first venture into motherhood, and high-profile appearances in blockbusters A Wrinkle in Time and Ocean’s 8.
And yes, there are essays in there about her hanging out with Reese Witherspoon and Oprah.
Available in both Kindle eBook or Audible audiobook formats (appropriately narrated by Kaling herself), Prime members and Kindle Unlimited customers can access Kaling’s forthcoming essay collection for free.
Launched in 2017, Amazon Original Stories is an imprint of Amazon Publishing that focuses on bringing “bingeable” works of fiction and non-fiction that can be read in a single sitting to the Kindle—fitting for Kaling’s digestible and conversational writing.
You’ll have to sit tight for a definite release date of the essay collection, but for now, you can see Kaling in the forthcoming Amazon Studios film Late Night, set to release nationwide on June 7. Kaling co-wrote, produced, and will star alongside powerhouses Emma Thompson and Hugh Dancy.
