SuperMansion Heading to Adult Swim in 2017

Adult Swim is ringing in the new year with comedy. The network has announced that it will air SuperMansion, a stop-motion animated series created by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the team behind Robot Chicken, and distributed by Sony Pictures Television. SuperMansion will begin airing its first season, which has thus far only been available on Crackle, on Sunday, Jan. 1 at midnight EST on Adult Swim.

According to the show’s official synopsis:

Titanium Rex (voiced by Bryan Cranston) is an aging super hero who has long been the head of the League of Freedom, a once-proud assembly of super heroes that isn’t what it used to be. The irascible Titanium Rex finds himself playing mentor to a new crop of Millennial-aged heroes who have little interest in their noble profession. Much to Titanium Rex’s chagrin, they’re all thrown together to live in the SuperMansion, where the young heroes learn how to harness their super powers and fight for justice, liberty and the need to stay relevant to society.

In addition to Cranston, the series also stars Zeb Wells and Keegan-Michael Key, with guest stars including Seth Green, Chris Pine, Nick Kroll and Ron Perlman. SuperMansion was created by Matthew Senreich and Wells. Check out Paste’s recent interview with Key about the show here.
