Lupita Nyong’o Launches Her Stand-up Comedy Career on Billy on the Street

Lupita Nyong’o already has an Oscar, but she’s not exactly a comedian. In a new clip from Billy on the Street, Nyong’o attempts to change that.

In the clip, Billy Eichner and Nyong’o play a game Eichner likes to call “Lupita Nyong’o: Bring the Pain.” Eichner believes the first step in Nyong’o’s budding comedy career is to test the waters by performing particularly filthy passages from the acts of other famous comedians.

The clip starts with Nyong’o reciting Bob Saget’s “Don’t Fuck a Goat” rant, which earns a rather tepid response from a passerby. Another man is more blunt, explaining that Andrew Dice Clay’s three blind mice joke is just “not funny.”

Check out the clip above, which features some NSFW language, including one man who “doesn’t give a shit” about Nyong’o’s award-winning turn in 12 Years a Slave. Billy on the Street airs Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. EST on truTV.
