Comedy Central Announces Premiere Date for Fifth and Final Season of Broad City

The fifth and final season of Broad City will premiere on Comedy Central next January, as the network announced Thursdsay in a video which also teased some new footage from the forthcoming season.

Creators and stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer announced in April that they would be ending their beloved cult series after its fifth season, although that announcement came with the news of the duo’s major first-look television deal with Viacom, as well as three new projects that were in development under the new deal.

The video follows the fictionalized Abbi and Ilana across their many runs over the course of the past four seasons of the series , before the actual Jacobson and Glazer run in to announce the final season premiere date. The Broad City season five premiere will be followed by the series premiere of The Other Two, created by SNL writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider.

Comedy Central will air the final Broad City season premiere on Jan. 24, 2019, at 10 p.m. ET.
