Former Louis C.K. Manager Dave Becky Will Not Be Credited on Broad City‘s Final Season

While Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer embark on their last trip to Broad City this week, Vulture reports that executive producer Dave Becky will not be credited on the show’s final season.

Becky served as Louis C.K.’s manager amidst the sexual misconduct allegations made against C.K. in 2017, to which the comedian admitted. As revealed in the report from the New York Times, two of the victims claimed Becky worked to keep the allegations silent in an attempt to protect his client at the expense of their comedy careers. Becky followed up by dropping C.K. as a client and issuing an apology for his actions. C.K. collaborator Pamela Adlon fired Becky as a result of the scandal, but none of his other clients (of whom there are many) followed suit, at least in the public eye.

Becky has served as Broad City’s executive producer since the show debuted on Comedy Central in 2014. According to Vulture, citing a Comedy Central spokesperson, the omission of his name from the credits was a mutual decision by Jacobson, Glazer and Becky. Although Becky remains a partner of 3 Arts Entertainment, the management and production company will retain its credit in the new season.
