Chris Hardwick Announces His Own Music & Comedy Festival

TV host and stand-up comedian Chris Hardwick has announced his very own music and comedy festival, ID10T Music Festival and Comic Conival. It will be a two-day event and take place in Silicon Valley, Calif., from June 24-25 at the Shoreline Amphitheater. It will serve as an event for “all things pop culture,” including everything you’d typically find at a comic convention, plus live music and comedy acts. According to Hardwick, “My goal with ID10T is to create a 2-day mega-event that mashes all of my favorite parts of [music festivals, comedy festivals, comic-cons, craft fairs, and gaming conventions] together, and Silicon Valley is the PERFECT place to do it.”

ID10T (pronounced I-D-10-T, for some completely useless logical reason that we’ve since been schooled on) will allow attendees to roam around the various booths, attend panels and be privy to a special live show of Hardwick’s podcast Nerdist. At night, the venues will transform into stages for live music and comedy performances. Some of the key musical performances at ID10T—excuse us, I-D-10-T—include Weezer, Girl Talk, OK GO, Animal Collective and Crystal Castles. Star comedians scheduled to participate include Demetri Martin, Nikki Glaser, and Garfunkel and Oates. You can check out the festival poster and map below to get a better sense of the full lineup and venue space.

General admission tickets start at $55, with weekend passes starting at $99. Single-day VIP passes will be available in limited numbers for 21+. You can visit the festival’s website to find out more about tickets and available packages.
