We now have our first-ever look at a Chris Tucker stand-up comedy special.
Netflix has released the trailer and key art for Chris Tucker Live, the legendary comedian and actor’s first full-length stand-up show. The special, filmed at the Fox Theatre in Tucker’s (and Paste’s) hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, will stream exclusively on Netflix beginning this week.
Tucker’s infectious comedic energy and delightfully frenetic stage presence are on full display in the trailer. Over the course of the minute-long clip, Tucker cracks jokes about appearing in a music video with Michael Jackson, his grandfather’s marital regrets and himself, as interstitials promise an uncensored and unbelievable set.
“Before people started seeing me in movies, I was doing stand-up,” Tucker said in a press release when the special was first announced. “It’s always been a part of me, and now I’m excited to share it with my fans around the world.”
