Bill Hader and Fred Armisen Toast David Letterman, Their “Childhood Friend”
Images from YouTubeObviously a good two or three decades separate David Letterman from Fred Armisen and Bill Hader. That didn’t stop the former SNL stars and co-creators of Documentary Now from slapping on some old age makeup and playing two of Letterman’s childhood friends in this clip from an upcoming tribute to the talk show legend. Last month Letterman won the prestigious Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and the ceremony will be airing on PBS on Monday, Nov. 20. This video, produced by the crew behind Documentary Now, is one of the many video tributes that’ll be playing throughout the episode, as the biggest names in comedy come together to celebrate Letterman’s crucial career. Check it out above and watch the whole show on Monday, Nov. 20.
