Documentary Now! Gets a Fourth Season at IFC

It feels like only a few years ago that Bill Hader and Fred Armisen’s Documentary Now! premiered on IFC, debuting as a modest documentary-retrospective program. And yet the network announced Monday that the show will be renewed for its 53rd season of looks back at some of our finest works of nonfiction.
Or at least, that’s the narrative frame for Hader and Armisen’s mockumentary series, which will be getting its fourth season with IFC. The show—which spoofs popular documentaries under the guise of a Masterpiece Theater-esque curatorial program—will have another seven episodes—no word yet on an air date—with Seth Meyers and Rhys Thomas producing alongside the show’s stars and Lorne Michaels serving as EP. Hopefully, Dame Helen Mirren will continue to present each mockumentary.
