Eddie Redmayne Recruits Benedict Cumberbatch for Some Mildly Impressive Magic

Eddie Redmayne is joining the Harry Potter universe, so naturally he had to learn some magic. In a clip from The Graham Norton Show, Redmayne asks fellow guests Benedict Cumberbatch and Bryan Cranston to help him out with a magic trick.

The trick requires that both Cranston and Cumberbatch blow on a coloring book, which Norton is careful to remind us is “completely normal.” Redmayne, who stars as wizard Newt Scamander in the forthcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, manages to prove his magical merit.

Cumberbatch, meanwhile, humbly assists, perhaps providing a little magic of his own thanks to his forthcoming turn as Doctor Strange. You can check out the clip above, and then spend hours (or minutes) working out how the magic happens.
