Say Goodbye to Girls and Say Hello to Jimmy Kimmel’s The Golden GIRLS

With Girls officially ending this season, many are wondering what will fill the Lena Dunham-shaped hole in their lives. Well, no need to fear: Jimmy Kimmel has introduced a premise that could see the return of Girls in about 30 to 40 years. While it’s incredibly unlikely that the show will return, it’s a fun thought to see Hannah and her friends in their 70s.

For the sketch, Kimmel assembled Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna to throw Marnie a “63rd birthday/divorce/knee surgery party,” where they still gripe about their issues, just at a much older age. Hannah still lounges around in the nude (airing out a diaper-induced UTI, ouch), Shoshanna is correcting people based on “wokeness” and Jessa hired a stripper … who happens to be Kimmel, as Officer Sausage. Elijah also shows up, looking as young as usual.

Girls airs its final episode on HBO on April 16. Check out the video embedded above.
