Watch the Trailer for Adult Swim’s Grimm New Show JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales

While classic Brothers Grimm stories such as Cinderella and Snow White have been culturally Disney-fied, the original tales are less pastel and more petrifying. But a new show from Adult Swim, JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales, revamps Brothers Grimm stories in a way that would probably make the duo cringe. A trailer for the new series depicts geriatric manslaughter, toilet seat licking and brightly-colored violence.

The official synopsis from the show reads: “The charm and cuteness of the original stories remain, but now they’ve been updated and packaged into a ball of raw, visceral, gross weirdness. The animated quarter-hour series is created, and executive produced by JJ Villard (King Star King) and produced by Cartoon Network Studios.”

Linda Blair, Warwick Davis, Robert Englund, Corey Feldman, Alan Oppenheimer, Jennifer Tilly, and Villard himself lend their voices to the show.
