Kurt Braunohler to Release His First-Ever One-Hour Special, Trust Me, on Comedy Central

Kurt Braunohler is using the platform of his first-ever one-hour comedy special to “undermine the authority unfairly assigned to white male speakers.” To wit, Braunohler will release a Comedy Central stand-up special, titled Kurt Braunohler: Trust Me. Braunohler, by exposing his own sordid past, promises to chip away at white male privilege. A press release for the special reveals a few of the anecdotes Braunohler will touch on:

Braunohler wants viewers to know all about how he used his girlfriend’s worst fear to propose to her, reunited unexpectedly with a woman he terrified with ventriloquism for a reality TV show, and accidentally/on purpose valued a $20 cover charge over several human lives at an Australian strip club.

Braunohler has performed stand-up on Conan, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show With Seth Meyers and The Late Late Show With James Corden. He has also appeared on quite a few scripted shows, including New Girl and Drunk History, as well as in his long-running live variety show with Kristen Schaal, Hot Tub.

Kurt Braunohler: Trust Me debuts on Comedy Central (and cc.com) at midnight EST on Friday, March 3, and will be available as an extended and uncensored digital download on March 7. Leading up to the premiere, you can find preview clips here. Check out Braunohler’s 2014 stand-up set on The Tonight Show below.
