Last Week Tonight was off this past Sunday. Something about a holiday, or something. Standard operating procedure for that show has been to post an original Youtube video on Sundays when a new episode doesn’t air, and they stuck to that this week. In this clip John Oliver shows a handful of weird and awesome graphics that were made for jokes that wound up getting cut before the show was taped. Oliver doesn’t provide any context for them whatsoever, which only makes them seem weirder and more hilarious. Although, as Oliver notes, there’s nothing weird at all about Kid Rock driving a monster truck through a Dairy Queen—you kind of expect it.
