Watch the Grand Budapest Hotel Recreated Using 50,000 LEGOs

Unfortunately for toy-loving Wes Anderson fans, the Team Zissou Ocean Adventure Playset remains tragically un-manufactured, but one team of tiny bricklayers recently made the next best thing. Using 50,000 pieces and 575 combined man-hours, master modeler Ryan Ziegelbauer’s team built a 7-foot LEGO replica of The Grand Budapest Hotel’s Grand Budapest Hotel.

Given the high whimsy factor of both Anderson’s movies and LEGO’s kits, the result was something like a match made in twee, multi-colored heaven. Check it out above, and keep an eye open for a special appearance by Zero Moustafa himself.
