Louis C.K. Suits Up in First Trailer for His New Netflix Special 2017
Image via NetflixComedy giant Louis C.K. ditches his trademark black T-shirt in favor of a suit in the first trailer for 2017, his first of two forthcoming Netflix-exclusive stand-up specials.
… And that’s about all that happens. C.K. doesn’t tell a single joke in the anticipation-building, minute-long clip, opting instead to get dressed, read a self-motivational note (“This is it”) and walk out onstage to thunderous applause.
The special, shot in Washington, D.C., figures to include a whole lot of actual comedy. C.K. spends 2017 ”[musing] on religion, eternal love, giving dogs drugs, email fights, teachers and more,” per a press release.
2017 hits Netflix on April 4—please clap for us for not making a dumb date joke. C.K. also has another Netflix special on the way. Watch the first trailer above, and check out the special’s uncropped key art below.
