While appearing on The Tonight Show last week, Louis C.K. teased a nationwide summer stand-up tour. Now, that’s sort of what we’ve gotten.
C.K.’s newly unveiled tour will take him … not very far from his New York City stomping grounds, apparently. The dozen or so May and June dates are limited almost entirely to the northeastern US, with C.K. hitting Maryland, New Jersey and Connecticut before venturing to the Midwest for a foursome of Chicago shows. C.K. will wrap up his tour with a pair of arena sets in Pennsylvania.
C.K. hasn’t done any scheduled stand-up shows since January of last year, when he played a history-making three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, which he recorded and released as an album. For a comic of C.K.’s caliber and prolificness, even a limited set of dates is a gift.
