Hit Comedy Podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno Is Headed to the U.S.

My Dad Wrote a Porno is a wildly popular U.K. podcast about exactly what you’d think, and the podcast’s creators are headed Stateside to perform their filthy and funny show live.

In case you’re unfamiliar, the podcast itself consists of Jamie Morton, accompanied by his friends James Cooper and Radio 1 DJ Alice Levine, reading books from his author father’s (pen name: Rocky Flintstone) … unique series of porn novels, with plenty of stops for mockery and nausea alike along the way. The result is not only a historically beloved podcast, with over 100 million global downloads to date, but also an entertainment juggernaut that’s bound for the screen, as well, with TV and film adaptations now in the works.

The Porno crew will perform nearly a dozen U.S. shows this month and next, hitting both coasts for theatre gigs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C. and Chicago, before returning to the U.K. for many more shows. They’ll put an epic capper on their international tour later this year, on June 21, when they deliver the largest podcast performance in history at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall.

Live Porno performances will feature the reading of a “lost chapter” from Rocky Flintstone’s delightfully atrocious Belinda Blinked books. The fourth season (or series, as you like it) is due out later this year, as eagerly anticipated by Belinkers the world over.

The podcast’s U.S. tour is a long time coming. We asked Morton last August when he, James and Alice would make it to the States: “We very much want to perform to our Belinkers Stateside,” he said. “We’re actually going to Montreal soon. America is the next step.”
