Comedy News Netflix

Wet Hot American Summer lovers are finally going to have their chance to see what kind of people their favorite campers and counselors blossomed into.

Netflix announced today that we’ll be able to make it our beeswax to enjoy a new original series, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. Set a decade after the events of the original film, the sequel series will fulfill Bradley Cooper’s character Ben’s promise that, “ten years from today, we’ll meet again.”

Michael Showalter and David Wain will write Ten Years Later, with Wain directing, and the sequel series will include eight all-new, 30-minute episodes. Executive producers include Showalter and Wain, plus Peter Principato, Jonathan Stern and Howard Bernstein.

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later won’t be out until 2017, but hopefully it will premiere in the morning so we can all make a day of it. Watch a teaser of sorts below and read our 2015 talk with Wain here.
