Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp Gets Must-See New Trailer
Nothing says summer like a trip to Camp Firewood, a.k.a. comedy heaven.
Netflix released the official trailer and key art for Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp this morning, giving us our first long look at the forthcoming comedy. The Michael Showalter and David Wain-created series, a prequel to the 2001 cult classic film Wet Hot American Summer, includes eight half-hour episodes. The series is set for release on Netflix at the end of the month, and as evidenced by the trailer, Camp Firewood is as wet and hot as ever.
The rib-ticklingly absurd clip emphasizes the series’ all-star cast: Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Meloni and Elizabeth Banks all make prominent appearances. In addition to showing off Camp Firewood’s original counselors and campers, the clip introduces some notable newcomers: Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery, Jordan Peele, Michael Cera and many more.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp hits Netflix on July 31 at 12:01 a.m. PST. Feast your eyes on the series’ epic key art below, courtesy of Netflix.
