Watch Bill Hader Play The Mooch on Summer Edition of SNL‘s “Weekend Update”
Image via NBC/YouTubeAnthony Scaramucci, whom you likely know as “The Mooch,” made an appearance on Saturday Night Live’s summer stand-alone edition of “Weekend Update” in the form of Bill Hader. It took a little convincing for him to answer the call, but co-host Michael Che eventually gave in and talked to the already-forgotten former White House Director of Communications via FaceTime.
“When I hear my name three times, I appear like a goombah Beetlejuice,” explained The Mooch. We realize that this is a joke, but we ask that you refrain from attempting to summon him, because it might actually work.
After Che expressed his wish that Scaramucci could have lasted longer in the White House, Hader’s Mooch had a reply that really put everything into perspective: “The Mooch has no regrets, baby. All I did was sell my company, miss the birth of my child and ruin my entire reputation, all to be king of Idiot Mountain for 11 days.”
Though Scaramucci was informally in the position for 11 days, he was only formally the head of WH comms for six days, which is the shortest anyone has ever held the position. The Trump administration is breaking records all over the place.
The position is now held by Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has been far more levelheaded thus far. Unfortunately, she recently made the mistake of wearing a shade of green that allowed a Twitter user to project images onto her like a human green screen. Other than that, she’s been doing fine.
Why you never wear GREEN on TV???? pic.twitter.com/IsC8TuE3Ei
