Watch Stephen Colbert Mock Trump and Impersonate Steven Seagal
Image via CBS/YouTubeStephen Colbert took to his show Thursday night to do two things: make fun of Donald Trump and make Steven Seagal puns.
Starting with Twitter’s new 280 character limit, Colbert found his way to Trump, and talked about how he lies or whatever, but that’s not important. What’s important is the next sequence, where he impersonates Steven Seagal from his bizarre interview on Good Morning Britain, and does a whole bunch of puns based on titles of Seagal’s movies. What’s important is that celebrated talk-show host and funny man Stephen Colbert did a bit that we totally did first.
“But Paste,” we hear you whine, “you’ve just linked me to a standard, regular news post about Steven Seagal’s interview.” WRONG.
GUESS HOW MANY STEVEN SEAGAL PUNS I FIT INTO THIS ARTICLE @PasteMagazinehttps://t.co/TOxrsXKFJ7

There were fourteen. Fourteen beautiful Steven Seagal puns. Beat that, Colbert.
To be clear, we’re not saying Colbert is a joke thief. He’s a stand-up guy, and it would be beyond arrogant to think he somehow saw our dinky little pun-filled post. We’re just saying that great minds think alike, and he should hire us as joke writers for his show. We’re waiting for your call, Stephen.
