Taylor Tomlinson Explains Why Your Twenties Suck in the Trailer for Her New Stand-up Special

The quarter-life crisis is a real thing. Sure, everybody might immediately miss their twenties the second they hit 30, and dearly wish they could return to them with greater ardor ever year after that, but it’s not like being 25 is all that great to begin with. Comedian Taylor Tomlinson is here to remind you of that—or prep you for it in case you haven’t hit a quarter century on this planet yet—in her new Netflix special, Quarter-Life Crisis.

Tomlinson’s first hourlong stand-up special hits Netflix on March 3, and in the trailer you can catch a glimpse of why she can’t wait to get out of her twenties. I can’t really fault her logic, even if I met the person I eventually married while they were doing the exact job Tomlinson makes fun of in the trailer. Youth isn’t some magical cure-all that solves everything, and unfortunately, on the other end, experience and wisdom can’t entirely make up for the health, freedom and exuberance of being young.

Check out the trailer for Quarter-Life Crisis below, exclusively (well, for like the next hour) here at Paste. And if you want to get a preview of a slightly younger Tomlinson in action, track down her 15 minute set in Netflix’s 2018 series The Comedy Lineup.
