The Chris Gethard Show Leaves Fusion for truTV

Chris Gethard just announced on Facebook Live that his beloved form-bending talk show The Chris Gethard Show is leaving Fusion… for a new home at truTV. “The show that refuses to die has survived once again,” Gethard said of the show that ran for years on Manhattan public access before moving to cable. “We’re doing up to 16 episodes this summer on our new home,” where its third season will broadcast live.

TCGS joins a growing lineup of creator-driven comedy series like Impractical Jokers, Billy on the Street, Adam Ruins Everything, Those Who Can’t and Jon Glaser Loves Gear. “It’s a fantastic network,” Gethard said. “We are part of a family at truTV.”

But you don’t have to wait until the summer to get your Gethard fix. His one-man show Career Suicide, produced by Judd Apatow, premieres on Saturday at 10 p.m. on HBO. In the meantime, please enjoy one of my favorite episodes of TCGS, starring Jason Mantzoukas, Paul Scheer and a very special guest:
